Travel
Interstate travelers can apply for a $50 travel grant to help subsidise their
travel. We can also help arrange for you to travel in a group from your area
if you are coming on your own.
Getting to and from the airport
There are a number of shuttle buses departing from the airport going
out to most major train stations for $15. Depending on who you are staying with
(if you choose to billet), then your host may be able to collect you from the
airport.
Billeting
Non local attendees are invited to billet with local attendees in their
homes for the duration of the conference. This will provide us with more time
to get to know each other and share our experiences and have more fun!
If you are billeting with a local person, they will contact you prior to the conference to organise your stay and how you will meet up.
Billeting Goodwill grants of $25 are available to local participants who billet travelers over the duration of the conference. It is asked that if you are willing to billet that you will provide breakfast to your guests and assist them with travel to the conference i.e. let them hop in your car with you or catch public transport together.
Getting to the Conference
Travel to the conference once you are in Melbourne is best done by
public transport. All train lines go through Melbourne Central Station. From
Melbourne Central station you can take the 1 or the 22 tram from Swanston Street
or the 19 Tram from Elizabeth Street.
